MISAMIS ORIENTAL (PIA)–The Misamis Oriental Provincial Health Office reported that thousands of Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental residents have received booster shots after a walk-in vaccination site opened in early January.
“We inoculated 3,997 people during the three-day walk-in vaccination. This is in line with the government’s efforts to intensify its campaign in order to achieve mass population protection the soonest time possible,” PHO Dr. Jerie Calingasan said.
Based on the data released by Gina Abang, PHO nurse, vaccinees were given their shots based on their preferred type of booster.
Of the 3,997 booster doses administered, Pfizer provided 2,681, Moderna 973, Sinovac 203, and AstraZeneca 140.
Meanwhile, Governor Yevgeny ‘Bambi’ Emano asserted that the Misamis Oriental provincial government is constantly expanding its vaccination campaign in order to fully protect Misamisnons from the deadly COVID-19 and the various coronavirus strains. (MisOr PIO/PIA-10/Misamis Oriental)
