MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)–Around 30 social media officers from the City Information Office (CIO), the City Mayor’s Office, and the different offices of the Local Government of Marawi underwent training on social media content creation and photography, February 23-24.
To improve the skills of the LGU’s communications and social media officers and properly inform the public about the LGU’s programs and services, the CIO led the training effort in collaboration with the Philippine Information Agency.
The city information officer, Johara G. Tanggote, said the social media and photography workshop is the first of a series of activities that will help build people’s skills and that will be held by the CIO this year.
During the workshop, the PIA trainers guided the participants on how to create social media cards using different platforms of software: MS Publisher, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and Canva.
The participants also learned how to use the elements of composition to write news releases and take photos. (APB/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
