CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)–As City Mayor Oscar Moreno delivers his last City Mayor Address during the 72nd Charter Day celebration, June 15, he emphasized that the accomplishments and recognitions received by the city government was a result of teamwork and harmony within the City Council and his office.
“Katong pag-abag sa City Council sukad 2016 has really pushed Cagayan de Oro to greater heights. Never before reached in Cagayan de Oro’s long history, grabe ang atoang growth tungod kana sa teamwork and harmony sa City Vouncil ug sa Executive branch,” says Moreno
(The support of the City Council since 2016 has really pushed Cagayan de Oro to greater heights. Never before reached in Cagayan de Oro’s long history and our growth has been tremendous. This is because of teamwork and harmony of the City Council and the Executive branch)
Moreno thanked all the city councilors who had been instrumental for the growth, success, and awards obtained by the city. He mentioned that the city will not be where it is today if not for them.
“It is my prayer that the teamwork and harmony will endure,” he added.
With upcoming transition of new administration, Moreno urged the Kagay-anons to support and trust the administration of incoming Mayor Klarex Uy so that the said administration may perform much better than the current administration.
He also hopes that teamwork and harmony will be the new norm of the new administration.
“We pray nga malampuson siya [Uy] (that he will succeed) because we are also stakeholders niini (of his endeavors),” Moreno said. (JAKA/PIA-10)
