In support to the celebration of Women's month, the Philippine Statistics Authority in Northern Mindanao (PSA-X) issued a factsheet that features the latest sex-disaggregated statistics in the region.
Called 2019 Gender Watch, this factsheet includes 61 indicators covering ten socio-economic sectors and gender concerns, namely, population, migration, education, health and nutrition, work and economic participation, agriculture, public life, social welfare and development, violence against women, and women empowerment.
The Gender Watch which can be accessed at http://rsso10.psa.gov.ph includes data from the latest surveys, statistical reports, and publications of PSA such s the 2017 National Demographics and Health Survey, 2015 Family Income and Expenditure Survey, 2017 Agriculture Wage Rates Survey, among others.
It also includes data from administrative-based sources such as Enhanced Basic Education Information System of the Department of Education, Enrolment and Graduates Data of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and Commission on Higher Education, nutrition data from National Nutrition Council, beneficiaries data of the Department of Agrarian Reform, election statistics of Commission on Elections, and the number of cases served by the Department of Social Welfare and Development, among others.
The factsheet aims to provide significant and easy to use information on gender issues that are deemed important to planners, researchers, and other users for evidence-based gender and development advocacy, planning, programming, and policy setting.
