MISAMIS ORIENTAL (PIA)–In line with President Rodrigo Duterte administration’s Whole-of-Nation approach in ending local communist armed conflict, the Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) of the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC)-10 held its community-based training on Banana Chips Making in Barangay, Tingalan, Opol, here.
Twenty Barangay Development Program (BDP) and PRLEC beneficiaries were taught how to prepare, make, and market banana chips as a means of livelihood in their community due to the abundant nature of bananas in their area.
The said activity was conducted by the Provincial Training Center-MisOr headed by the School Administrator Josef Ilogon, with support from the Barangay Council of Tingalan, and accompanied by the Police Regional Office (PRO)-10 Misamis Oriental Unit.
According to Ilogon, the skills training implemented will help aid their community’s economic growth, and if sustained, will create income and employment by making it a viable source of economic support.(VPSB/PIA-10/Misamis Oriental)
