Globe Business joined forces with the Department of Trade and Industries’ (DTI) Bureau of Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Go Negosyo at the recent National MSME Summit 2023, aiming to help Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in their journey towards digital transformation.
With the theme “Upgrade, Upskill, and Upsize MSMEs,” the event explored various ways MSMEs can benefit from digitalization, making technology more accessible to entrepreneurs, and underscored the importance of elevating MSMEs’ capabilities, enhancing their skills, and expanding their operations.
The Summit served as a valuable platform for learning, collaboration, and inspiration. It brought together around 1,000 participants looking for opportunities and ways to overcome challenges in today’s globally competitive business environment.
At the Digitalization for MSMEs panel, KD Dizon, Head of Globe Business, shared insights on the benefits and support they provide MSMEs in their digital transformation journey. She also addressed common challenges faced by MSMEs in digitalization, including limited financial resources, lack of digital skills, and resistance to change.
“As an enabler of Filipino MSMEs, we aim to understand the pain points of entrepreneurs and guide them in facing these challenges head-on. We do this by equipping them with important knowledge and skills, and helping them develop a network towards achieving their goals and future-proofing their business,” Dizon said.
She also highlighted the key benefits and opportunities for MSMEs in adopting digital technologies, such as improved business efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
