CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)–The Department of Health (DOH)-10 is still calling out all senior citizens, those who have not been vaccinated, to get vaccinated against COVID-19 at their nearest vaccination site, January 31, 2022 through a special Nationwide Senior Citizens Vaccination Day.
The theme, “Pagpangga sa mga Lolo og Lola Pinaagi sa Pagbakuna,” is an urgent need to ramp up vaccination among the most vulnerable group, the senior citizens, said Dr. Jose R. Llacuna Jr., DOH-10 regional director.
With the increasing number of COVID-19 positive cases and with the recent Regional COVID-19 vaccination coverage as of January 23, 2022 for senior citizens, DOH has vaccinated 276,603 or 61.18% for first dose coverage, 250,868 or 55.49% were fully vaccinated and 34,723 or 7.81% were given the booster dose out of Region 10.
Meanwhile, the 2022 target population of the department is 452,130 of the 60 years old above population. (JMOR/PIA-10)
