Mendoza, representing Renato A. Baja, President and General Manager of HRDC signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the pilot project of CAVCS.

The clean-up activity is in participation to the region-wide simultaneous river clean-up organized by DENR 10 in support to the call of Secretary Roy A. Cimatu to improve the water quality of rivers in the country.

It was participated in by employees of Republic Biscuit Corporation, officials of the local government of Barangay Alae, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon including sitio leaders and beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

As a manifestation of their continuous support in the protection and rehabilitation of the Alae river, participants signed the Covenant of Membership for the Tayo Ang Kalikasan, a DENR-led People’s Environment Stewardship Movement that helps lead the nation toward sustainable development.
An inventory of illegal settlers and structures along the easement of the river was also conducted to identify the sources/contributors of wastes in the area. #TayoAngKalikasan (Ana Mae Sumalinog) RSCIS MR No. 02-046-2019
