    Bukidnon job fairs offer over 2K available local, overseas jobs

    MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon (PIA)–The Local Government of Bukidnon through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO) conducted a face-to-face Job Fair, in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10 Bukidnon Provincial Field Office (BPFO), May 16 at Bukidnon Folk Arts Theater, Kaamulan Grounds, here.

    DOLE-10 BPFO Chief Raul L. Valmores said, “A total of 2,263 job vacancies were already posted and available for placement with 41 employers confirmed to participate in the online and face-to-face job fairs.”

    Valmores said the top occupations in demand locally were Customer Service Representative posting 460 vacancies; Technical Support, 150 vacancies; and Call Center Agents, 100 vacancies.

    Moreover, Valmores said overseas employment vacancies are mostly nurses, cleaners, electricians, worker care, and cashiers, among others, are in demand in Canada, New Zealand, Middle East and in other countries of Asia, Europe and America.

    From the reports of 357 registered applicants, 18 were Hired-On-The-Spot and 25 were for further interviews.

    Likewise, interested applicants for the Central Mindanao University (CMU) Virtual Job Fair, May 18-19, 2022 may join thru (1) going to Schools.Jobs180.com and create Jobs180.com account; (2) joining thru the Zoom Meeting ID: 890 8749 8743 and passcode: resume link; (3) meeting the company representatives, and prepare to be interviewed.

    Valmores said applicants may also visit the DOLE Bukidnon official Facebook page for the detailed information.

    The online and face-to-face Job Fairs are open for the public. These activities aim to help jobseekers land decent and stable jobs and to help employers find the applicants that are best fitted to the vacancies available. Job Fair is a program of DOLE to fast-track the meeting of jobseekers and the employers in one venue at a specific date to reduce cost, time and effort particularly on the part of the jobseekers.
