CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)–Strengthening efforts to combat coronavirus disease (COVID)-19, Bugo Barangay Chair Vic Talingting said 98% of its residents are already fully vaccinated during the CORDS-X Podcast, June 4.
With the continuous implementation of the vaccination rollout, Talingting said residents of his barangay are receptive to the vaccines and an information drive is done on a weekly basis to give updates on the COVID-19 status of the barangay through social media.
“Bugo gives huge importance [to vaccination]. In fact, we are already at 98% fully vaccinated and the residents have a positive response to it,” says Talingting
Talingting also expressed that he sees no problem in the implementation of the booster dose campaign to the residents of Bugo due to the high turnout of the first two doses. He shared that the local government unit is supportive of the healthcare workers initiating the vaccination rollout as well as they commend their efforts to boost the campaign.
Talingting urges the Bugohonon to continue the observance of the minimum public health standards and to avail the free COVID-19 vaccines. He also thanked the residents for the support they have given in the fight against COVID-19. (JAKA/PIA-10)
