Cagayan de Oro-The Food Processors Association of Northern Mindanao (FOPANORMIN) with 25 active members and has over 200 produced food products in 2019 statistics has now declined with 30% of produced products due to the pandemic and has stopped its exhibit of at least 3 holdings a year since the occurrence of COVID-19 in 2019,said FOPANORMIN outgoing President Nenita Tan.

The biggest event they produced annually is TINAGBOAN FESTIVAL as part of the city’s fiesta event every August and has stopped for 2 years already until it reincarnated this year on August 9 to 16 at Lim Ket Kai Mall event center with at least 25 exhibitors with over a hundreds of food and delicacies locally produced which top of the line is now the famous Sweet Ham of Slers and Pastel of Vjandep originated in the island of Camiguin and expanded in this City with its main display center called “Gasa”(gift) at Bulua vilage’s National Highway.
FOPANORMIN started in 2016 with the help of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for loans and financial assistance and Department of Science and Technology (DoST)for product and packaging enhancement and financial assistance to Small and Medium Entrepreneur (SME) to start a business.
Tan said that all of their core members has grown slowly by slowly despite of the negative economic situation of the globe due to pandemic but persistency and dedication is their key to consistently gain their goals for consumers assistance in our locality in Northern Mindanao.
TINAGBOAN FESTIVAL 2022 has the Theme: BAYANIHAN-REIGNITING THE ECONOMY THROUGH FOOD, CULTURE AND COMMUNITY BUILDING.
